The Lousiana Purchase Exposition, You Say?
Forsooth! Schlafly Expo IPA pays tribute to the 1904 World's Fair... I swear that's probably the last forsooth you'll have to read here today. Probably.
The 1904 World's Fair was a big deal for St. Louis and the country. The Lousiana Purchase was finalized and we had to show off all the cool things that we just bought from the French, back when we still thought they were cool for helping us out with that whole Revolutionary War thing we had going on previously. But well before we disliked them for being correct wrong about that Iraq War thing we still have going on from our perspective, the only one that matters.
Schlafly has put together an IPA that takes lots of connections worldwide for hops - rare varietals that come from far away lands. And of course, the water from our Missouri River Confluence. Can you imagine Schafly beer brewed with any water other than the delicious water that comes out of a tap in St. Louis?
For real - beer is only my SECOND favorite thing to put in my mouth AFTER water!
Let's get into the nitty gritty and dig up some dirt on this beer.
What Schlafly has to say about Expo IPA:
Our personal relationships with hop farmers from around the world give us access to rare varieties chosen for their notable attributes, emphasized when blended with quality grains and water sourced from our unique confluence of rivers for an exceptional, distinguished, balanced beer.
Schlafly Expo IPA
Well, what have we learned in our journey through the internet checking out reviews? It's made with hops that Schlafly gets because they've got some sweet connections. We've learned that water makes the beer. Oh, and we've learned that it's mighty fine on draft.
We send out the beer every week in an email as well - some people like that more than having to go through the website or checking our facebook. So join up!
