Now on over at the ol' Great River website, they say that Farmer Brown is:
A chocolatey, robust, rich and nutty ale
dominated by a complex malt flavor.
And that sounds just fine to me. But I think there's a bigger story here that involves beer, ratings systems, and the anonymity of the internet turning people into really mean versions of themselves.
I'd like to introduce you to the Greater Internet F*$kwad Theory:
normal person + anonimity + audience = F*$kwad
I think this is what happens to beer reviews over time - they get infected by people who can google big words and aren't afraid to just be a jerk to someone for no reason other than they disagree. Or maybe they're just meanies.
That hasn't happened yet for Farmer Brown! All the reviews are actually useful. Don't tell anyone!
